Artist WAINAO SAMUEL TORRES
Samuel Torres de Souza is a Brazilian artist born and living in the city of Ribeirão Preto. He is a realistic draftsman in pencil. Professor at the virtual artistic course of Charles LAVESO.
It was in 2008 that He accidentally discovered the realistic drawing. From then on, he began to make drawings and by dint of patience and determination, he eventually reached a very good level.
His life will take a turn, the day he meets Charles LAVESO, a realistic drawing reference artist who finds himself living in the same city as him. Later, after a break of three years, he has the opportunity to work again with Charles.
His talent and his love for drawing and realistic design led him to push his collaboration further with Charles. Charles needed someone to work with and the name of Samuel naturally imposed itself, given his extremely rapid learning and his steady progress. Charles therefore offered to give him classes for free every day intensively for 3 months. This was a very important step for Samuel.
Their work today consists in making graphite pencil drawings based on a reference photo, designed to work shading and texturization in order to remain as close as possible to the reference image. It takes a lot of time and detailed work, taking 20 hours of operation to nearly 100 hours depending on the level of complexity.
Samuel to the taste of sharing and teaching is an important part of his life now. Help others fulfill their passion and allow people to realize that this technique requires patience, determination but brings a lot of joy.
